Add the Allinaa chatbot to a Zoho Sites website
Written by the Allinaa team · Updated
Zoho Sites is reported to offer two places for custom code: a header and footer code setting for the whole site, and a code snippet element you place on a page. We could not confirm either on a Zoho page, so this guide gives the generic route, names what to confirm in Zoho's help and shows how to check the result. Allinaa is not a Zoho integration; it is a script on your pages.
Site-wide setting or per-page element
Prefer the site-wide setting if your site has it: one paste, every page. The per-page element is the fallback: it gives the chat on the pages where you place it, which is fine for a small site and tedious for a large one. Whether a paid plan is needed for either is not verified. Check in your platform's help for the names and the plan before you start.
Get your code
You need your own code first. Sign up at bot.allinaa.com/start for the 14-day free trial, confirm your e-mail and follow the setup wizard; step 5, "Install", shows one line:
<script src="https://bot.allinaa.com/widget.js" data-bot-id="your-bot-id" defer></script>Route 1: the header and footer code setting
- Open your site's settings in the Zoho Sites builder.
- Look for the header and footer code area; for the exact place, check in your platform's help.
- Paste your code into the footer box (the header box also works) and save.
- Publish the site.
Route 2: a code snippet element per page
- Open a page in the builder and add the code snippet element.
- Paste your code into it; its position on the page does not matter, the button is drawn in a corner.
- Repeat on the other pages that should have the chat, then publish.
Zoho's own chat tools
Zoho offers chat products of its own. The Allinaa assistant is independent of them: it answers from the knowledge you approve in your Allinaa cabinet, keeps its inquiries in your Allinaa inbox and sends them to your e-mail. Run one chat widget per page, not two, so visitors see one button.
Check the installation
Open the live site in a private window and look for the button; then click Check my site in your cabinet, which reads the homepage and up to two pages it links to. If the button is there but the check says not found, the pages it read are probably cached or the code sits on pages it did not open; the status turns to installed anyway once the assistant loads on any page of your site.
The general causes are on the troubleshooting page; if a developer looks after the site, send them the code.
