Add the Allinaa chatbot to a Wix site
Written by the Allinaa team · Updated
Wix lets you add a script to every page from your site's dashboard, without touching the editor. The Allinaa assistant needs exactly one such script. This guide follows Wix's own help page and explains the two choices Wix asks you to make.
Requirements: published site and connected domain
Wix runs custom code only on a published site with a connected domain, and connecting a domain needs a paid Wix plan. If your site is still on a free Wix address, the code will not run there. Check this first, because it is the most common reason the chat button never appears on a Wix site.
You also need your Allinaa code. Sign up at bot.allinaa.com/start, confirm your e-mail, and follow the setup wizard. The wizard reads the public pages of your Wix site to draft your assistant's knowledge, which you edit and approve. Step 5, "Install", shows your code:
<script src="https://bot.allinaa.com/widget.js" data-bot-id="your-bot-id" defer></script>
Step by step: Custom Code in Settings
- In your site's dashboard, go to Settings.
- Under Development & integrations, click Custom Code.
- Click + Add Custom Code, paste your code and give it a name you will recognize later, such as "Allinaa chat".
- Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages and pick how often it loads (see below).
- Under Place Code in, choose Body - end, then click Apply.

All pages, and load once or on each new page
Choose All pages so visitors can ask a question wherever they land, not only on the homepage. A visitor who arrives on your services page from a search result should see the same chat button.
Wix then asks whether the code loads once per visit or on each new page. Either works with Allinaa. "Once" is usually enough: the assistant follows the visitor as they move between pages, keeps the conversation going and knows which page they are viewing. If you ever notice the button missing after moving between pages, edit the snippet and switch to "on each new page".
Placement: Body - end
"Body - end" puts the code at the end of the page, which is where a chat button belongs: the page content comes first, then the assistant. The script also uses defer, so it doesn't hold back the rest of the page while it loads. Choosing "Head" would also work, but Body - end matches the instruction we give for every other platform.
Check the installation
- Open your published site (not the editor preview) in a private browser window.
- Look for the chat button in a bottom corner, then visit two or three other pages.
- Ask something your approved knowledge covers.
- In your Allinaa cabinet, click Check my site. It reads your homepage and up to two pages it links to.
If it doesn't appear
- The domain isn't connected or the site isn't published. Custom code needs both.
- The snippet is limited to some pages. Edit it in Custom Code and choose All pages.
- The code was pasted into an editor element (for example an HTML embed box on one page) instead of Settings > Custom Code. Remove it there and use the steps above.
- It shows on some pages but not others. Switch the loading option to "on each new page".

Frequently asked questions
Can I add the Allinaa chatbot to a free Wix site?
Not with custom code. Wix runs custom code only on a published site with a connected domain, and connecting a domain needs a paid Wix plan.
Should I choose Head or Body - end?
Choose Body - end. The assistant's script is deferred either way, and Body - end matches the instruction for every other platform.
Can the chatbot book appointments in Wix?
It collects appointment requests with the visitor's permission and sends them to your team by e-mail and to your inquiry inbox. It does not write into Wix's booking calendar.
Where does the chat button appear on my Wix site?
In a bottom corner of every page you selected under Add Code to Pages.
