Localizing marketing and social media content
Written by the Allinaa team · Updated
Marketing copy depends on things that rarely survive a literal translation: wordplay, cultural references, seasonal hooks, the way prices are presented and the tone of voice. Allinaa localizes ads, emails and social media posts so they work for each market, using AI for speed and a person for review.
Why word-for-word marketing translation fails
An ordinary web page can survive a stiff translation. A headline cannot. These illustrative examples show where literal translation usually breaks:
- Idioms. "Our prices are a home run" or "we've got you covered" turn into nonsense or something oddly literal in many languages.
- Seasons and holidays. A "summer sale" in July means winter in Australia or Argentina. Back-to-school season and the big shopping days differ by country.
- Dates in offers. "Sale ends 3/4" reads as March 4 in the United States and 3 April in much of Europe, which is a costly misunderstanding in a promotion.
- Urgency and claims. Countdown language that feels normal in one market can sound pushy in another, and some comparisons or claims face stricter advertising rules abroad.
- Calls to action. "Grab yours" or "Hop on a quick call" need a phrase local readers would really use, at a length that fits the button.
What we adapt: prices, examples, idioms and tone
Cultural adaptation of prices, examples and tone is part of Premium localization. Here is what that means in practice:
- Prices. Currency, symbol position, decimal and thousand separators, and whether tax is included in the shown price. We change how the price is presented; the amounts and offers remain your decision.
- Examples. A reference to a US sports league, a TV show or a local chain is replaced with something that carries the same meaning for the new audience, or removed.
- Idioms. Rewritten so the message lands, not translated word by word.
- Tone. Formal or informal address, and how direct the copy should be, chosen with you and then kept consistent across every ad, email and post.
Ads, emails and social posts
Ads
Ad text has tight space limits and is often shown next to competitors. We localize headlines and descriptions to fit, use the local phrasing people search with, and flag claims that may need checking under that market's advertising rules. That legal check itself is your responsibility or your lawyer's.
Emails
We localize the subject line, preview text, body and button, and remind you of the parts that must change per market: the sender details, the postal address and the unsubscribe wording required by local email rules. In the United States that is the CAN-SPAM Act, which the FTC explains in its compliance guide for business; other countries have their own consent rules.
Social media posts
Captions are rewritten for the local audience, hashtags are chosen in the local language rather than translated, and text inside images is listed so your designer can swap it. A post that relies on a meme or pun in English often needs a different idea, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Human review
Every localized text is reviewed by a person before delivery. The reviewer checks meaning and tone, then the details that slip through most often: names, numbers, dates, links, and that the call to action matches the landing page. Questions come back to you before delivery. You approve the final text, because you know your brand and your offers best.
Pair localized campaigns with a localized landing page. An ad in Spanish that leads to an English page loses most of its effect. See website localization for the page itself.
Starting prices per project
| Tier | Starting price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | from $300 per project | One language, reviewed by a person, adapted for local customers |
| Premium | from $500 per project | Up to three languages, cultural adaptation of prices, examples and tone, SEO titles and descriptions, 30 days of free updates |
The final price depends on the volume of copy, the number of languages and formats, and the deadline. You will know it before we start. The tiers are also listed in the pricing section.
Combining with outreach and lead generation
Allinaa's services can be used alone or combined. If you plan outreach in a new market, the trust-building posts and messages need the same care as your ads. Read how multichannel outreach works, and send us your campaign material through the contact form or at info@allinaa.com for a quote.
Frequently asked questions
Can you localize a campaign that is already running?
Yes. Send the current ads, emails or posts and the dates they run. We localize what exists and flag anything that depends on a local date, holiday or offer that does not apply in the new market.
Do you write new marketing copy from scratch?
This service adapts copy you already have. If a market needs something new, such as a different offer or a holiday campaign that has no English original, tell us what you need and we will say before quoting whether and how we can help.
How do you handle our slogan and brand name?
Brand and product names normally stay as they are. Slogans often need a new line rather than a translation, so we propose options with a short explanation of each, and you choose.
