How AI reply allowances work, and what happens at the limit

Written by the Allinaa team · Updated

Every AI answer costs money to produce, so the trial and the Standard plan include an allowance, and Premium has flood limits instead of a monthly cap. The fine print matters: what counts, what resets the count and what visitors see when it runs out. Here are Allinaa's exact rules.

The allowances

  • Free trial: 200 AI replies in total over 14 days, on either plan.
  • Standard: 2,000 AI replies per monthly service period.
  • Premium: no monthly cap on AI replies (per-channel flood limits apply); see below.

The service period starts when Allinaa activates your service, not on the first of the calendar month.

Premium: no monthly cap, flood limits per channel

Premium has no monthly cap on AI replies. Flood limits protect each connected channel, such as your Telegram bot, from runaway volume: by default a connection answers with AI at most 300 times in 24 hours, and at most 20 times to the same customer within 10 minutes. You can change both for each connection in the cabinet. Messages beyond a limit wait for a person on your team, and nothing is billed automatically. The website chat has its own short-term limit per visitor's internet address.

What counts: one successful reply to a visitor

A reply counts once, when the assistant successfully delivers an AI-written answer to a visitor. A conversation in which a visitor asks four questions and gets four answers uses four replies.

What doesn't count

  • Retries and failures. If an answer fails or is retried behind the scenes, you are not charged for the failed attempt.
  • Internal checks. Work the system does for itself, such as pre-filling the inquiry form or checking a correction, doesn't count.
  • History restores. When a visitor returns and their earlier conversation is shown again, nothing is counted.
  • E-mails. Notification e-mails to you and confirmation e-mails to visitors are templates, not AI replies.
  • The inquiry form itself. Submitting an inquiry is not an AI reply.

New conversations don't reset usage

Usage is counted per business and per period, not per conversation. Pressing "New conversation" in the chat closes the old conversation (it isn't deleted) and starts a fresh one, but the monthly count carries on. The limit also holds when many visitors chat at the same moment, so a busy hour can't push usage past the allowance.

At the limit: the inquiry form keeps working

When the allowance is used up, the assistant stops writing AI answers for the rest of the period, and the chat falls back to the inquiry form. Visitors can still leave their request and contact details, you still receive the notification e-mail, and the inquiry still lands in your inbox. A visitor never meets a broken chat window.

The same fallback is used when a trial ends: the assistant stops answering and the inquiry form keeps working.

Estimating your monthly volume

A simple estimate:

Replies per month ≈ conversations per day × average answers per conversation × 30

You probably don't know either number before launch. Two better ways:

  1. Use the trial. Run the 14-day trial on your real website and see how quickly the 200 replies are used. If they last the full 14 days with some left, Standard's monthly allowance is comfortably larger than your current pace. If they run out in a few days, look at the conversations: real customer questions mean demand is high; repeated testing by your own team means the sample is skewed.
  2. Use your own question volume. Count the routine questions your team answers by e-mail, phone and messages in a week. Each one would be a short conversation of one to three answers.

Seasonal businesses should estimate for the busiest month, not the average.

Additional usage, agreed in advance

If you regularly need more than your allowance, talk to Allinaa. Additional usage or work is agreed with you in advance, and nothing is billed automatically. Until something is agreed, the fallback above protects you: the worst case is visitors using the inquiry form for the rest of the period, never an unexpected invoice.

Separately, Standard includes up to 2 hours a month of knowledge updates and response improvements by the Allinaa team. That is maintenance time, not a reply allowance, and work beyond it also needs your agreement first. Compare the plans in Standard vs. Premium or on the pricing section.
